#RPGaDay 2015 Day 27: Merging two games

I answered today’s question fairly fully on my YouTube channel so this will be a short entry. The question for Day 27 is on merging two games or genres. I think at some point most groups try this to one extent or another, so I am expecting a good variety of posts today.

For my response, I decided to look at merging the effects of games more than two specific games or genres. Many games on the market already do this and I think that is a good approach to guage a good mix.

My favorite such blend is one which brings a focus on discovery, character, and development in contact with one which focuses on challenge and decision-making – particularly decisions of an impactful and ambiguous nature. A great example of this is Firefly.
