#RPGaDay2023 Day 4

Over the past few years, not for lack of interest, but due to lack of space, more time restrictions, and a slow shift in focus toward producing versus consuming material, I have been purchasing fewer games. Of course, this causes me pangs of loss or pain at times, but it gets (slightly) easier with momentum.

This year is now in its eighth month. Ten years ago, I would have easily been in double-digits of new games and game products by this point in the year. Not so, 2023. Yay me.

Day 4: Most RECENT game bought

My most recent game purchase, one of only 3 in this calendar year, and of 5 in the last twelve months, was mentioned among the firsts earlier this week. My most recent purchase was also my first purchase of a dedicated solo game: Rectify.

This is a game of personal horror and possible redemption by Hansor Publishing, makers of the Gaia Project. Through its stark text and art, it sets you up to imagine and/or journal about a trip through the veritable bowels of hell. It’s not just imagination, though. The game asks you to experience trials as well. Not in a masochistic way, but as the title suggests.

If any of that sounds interesting, check it out!
