#RPGaDAY2026 – Some Memorable Responses
Posted by Runeslinger on August 31, 2026 · Leave a Comment
The most important aspect of #RPGaDAY in any year is not finishing all of the prompts or being on time with responses, but being positive about roleplaying games and gamers. Over the course of 31 days, that positivity sparks fond memories, reignites old interests, or fans the flames of new ones. It gives insight into the connections people have with the hobby and how our interests can both vary and unite us while expanding our view across the hobby as a whole to see more of the spectrum it represents. It returns games in danger of being forgotten to our thoughts and introduces new games to them. It praises the writers, artists, system designers, product makers, game masters, fellow players, and friends that help define our journeys in roleplaying gaming. When you think of it, that is a lot for positivity to do, but at the same time our love for the hobby and the effect it has had on all of us over time has generated a tremendous amount of it. It’s a high-octane fuel, ready to draw tens of thousands to conventions, ready to travel hundreds of kilometers for a session, ready to rise at the crack of dawn or the depth of night to connect with the group, and ready to invite a newcomer into the circle for a game.
Below I have taken a special or representative post from 31 different sources that caught my eye during August 2026. I hope you will take some time in September to take a look at what these sources had to offer for the event this year and, if you can,

let them know that you were there~
In support of all of that is the notion of using the hashtag to find others’ posts, and sharing the ones which speak to you. This not only further fans the flames of positivity for the creator of that post, it spreads the flame to others to whom modern social media might never have shown it, and helps introduce the cool content produced in one isolated gamer silo to the gamers in another.
In the past I have done videos to share responses, podcast episodes, link posts on different social media sites, and so on to be a part of that appreciation of not just the hobby but the people who make the time for RPGaDAY. This year, things have worked out so that my round-up of some posts which caught my eye will be here on the blog where all of my posts have been for 2026. It’s nice in a way, and familiar, but also somewhat new for newer or younger gamers who missed the days of blogs and are seeing them for the first time as they return. Below I have taken a special or representative post from 31 different sources that caught my eye during August 2026. I hope you will take some time in September to take a look at what these sources had to offer for the event this year and, if you can, let them know that you were there~
