Inspiration Challenge ~ 1
I often have story or campaign ideas come to me in a flash of inspiration, which if I am able to retain them long enough to flesh it out on paper, can become fully-fledged settings and campaigns. One of the things which can serve as fuel for inspiration for me is music.
I thought it might be fun to invite people to take a challenge with me; to use a song as a source of inspiration and see what different things we come up with. The idea is to take the mood and images, conflicting concepts implications of the song and turn it into the basis of a theme and direction for an adventure or campaign.
How about this?:
- Participants will have a choice of 1 of 2 randomly pre-chosen songs to use as inspiration
- Setting, Period, Genre, etc are all open – go with what you think will work best
- Systems are restricted to those commercially and/or publicly available
- Length is not important – if you can produce a one-shot or a full campaign, so be it
- Post your creations on your own blog or site
- Invite others to take the challenge as well
