#RPGaDAY: Day 8 – Resolve (Intellect; Hard Work; Vagabonds of Dyfed)

The eighth day of #RPGaDay2026 gives us the prompt Resolve. The daily filter is the oh-so-familiar ‘works hard for a living.’ We are almost done with ‘Intellect’ as a modifier on responses, and likewise almost finished with our journey through Vagabonds of Dyfed. I realized yesterday as I finished up my entry for Day 7, that even though fantasy is quite low on my list of genre-appreciation, I have been enjoying integrating the sort of characters which interest me with the approach to play of this game, and the classic old school type of fantasy setting. That is a nice gift and the sort of positivity that I like to see crop up by surprise in RPGaDAY.

#RPGaDAY: Day 7 – Mercy (Intellect; Charity; Vagabonds of Dyfed)

The seventh day of #RPGaDay2026 gives us the prompt Mercy. The daily filter is Friday’s vanishingly rare ‘loving and giving’ which we might think of as being truly charitable. We are closer to the end of this week’s use of ‘Intellect’ as a modifier on responses. Again, we take another step or two into Vagabonds of Dyfed’s approach to making the foundations of the hobby more accessible to a different set of players.

#RPGaDAY: Day 6 – Reach (Intellect; Far to Go; Vagabonds of Dyfed)

The sixth day of #RPGaDay2026 gives us the prompt Reach. This response remains under the influence of the weekly filter of Intellect. The daily filter is Thursday’s possibly optimistic ‘Far to Go.’ I quite like the ambivalence of this day’s filter. Even if generally taken in one light by most people, it’s likely that people being people at least some of them will take it another way entirely.

#RPGaDAY: Day 5 – Burden (Intellect; Woe; Vagabonds of Dyfed)

The fifth day of #RPGaDay2026 gives us the prompt Burden. This response remains under the influence of the weekly filter of Intellect. The daily filter sticking its nose in on this Wednesday is Woe. As none of my dogs are named woe or any of the other filters for the week, you will sadly be deprived of a dog picture… until next week. Several of my dogs do participate in my RPG activities, so their inclusion in this event is not a complete surprise. Anyway, none of them are going to show up today, so let’s get on with today’s response.

#RPGaDAY: Day 4 – Charm (Intellect; Grace; Vagabonds of Dyfed)

The fourth day of #RPGaDay2026 gives us the prompt Charm. This week’s responses are all under the influence of the weekly filter of Intellect. The daily filter sticking its nose in on this Tuesday is Grace. I will endeavor not to turn this post into one about our Doberman Pinscher rescue of the same name, but there will probably be a picture. No apologies. She embodies her name, is incredibly charismatic, and is one of the smartest dogs I know. Ok. There will definitely be…. there already is a picture.
