#RPGaDAY2026 starts August 1st

That’s right, it has been a year since last July and that means that we are one month away from the one year anniversary of last August. THAT means that #RPGaDAY2026 is just one July away.
David has been hard at work creating lovely imagery for the infographic for this year’s event and we are pleased to share the core prompts of this year’s RPGaDAY with you today.
Why do we release the prompts a month early?
While the heart and soul of the event is the idea of the short daily prompt, some gamers are also artists or have production schedules for their social media interactions and they appreciate the lead time to share responses which take more time to produce. We also think it is nice to have a little lead-up time to sort through the prompts, search our memories, and share the infographic around with our gaming friends to think about as well. All sorts of fun conversations spring up in the days before the event launches!
Perhaps most important of all, the international community is amazing when it comes to sharing and translating the infographic and they need some time to do that as well. This year, David was able to make a blank graphic for that purpose. Check out David’s blog post AUTOCRATIK: Announcing #RPGaDAY2026 in August to get that image.
The Infographic!

2026 Context!
This year, the prompts can be approached in two different ways.
The first is, of course, the usual way where you take a prompt and use it to spark or help shape some positive Social Media post about RPGs. If you get stalled, don’t worry, there is a full month of example questions made from the prompts that you can answer instead of taking a leap of faith with a one-word prompt. Look for that set of alternative questions below!
Second, as noted on the infographic itself, you can use it to make and share anywhere from 1 to 31 different characters. Each prompt can be some part of their profession, background, personality, or characteristics. If you choose, there are filters you can apply or turn to for inspiration, such as the Days of the Week poem about the fate of children born on each day, and weekly filters we have added such as a personal drive or who their associates are and what they are like.
As we are gamers, you can even mix that up a bit with some dice. I will be sharing some different die-pool methods as we work our way through July.
